It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these. I hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
Last night one, or both, of our cats, Sage and Charlie, busted into the catnip stash. I’m gobsmacked that no matter how much I question them, neither will lift a paw to rat out the other. They don’t always get along. More solid than Canadian soil in February, those two. I managed to intervene before either one could eat too much. Though I swear I caught Sage grinning at me like the Cheshire Cat. 🤨🤪😂
Born and raised on a farm near Brockville, Ontario, Mark Bierman's childhood consisted of chores, riding horses, snowmobile races across open fields, fishing trips to a local lake, and many other outdoor adventures. He was also an avid reader of both fiction and non.
Transitioning towards adulthood also meant moving from the farm and into large urban areas that introduced this country boy to life in the big cities.
After a short stint as a private investigator, he moved into the role of Correctional Officer, working at both Millhaven Institution and Kingston Penitentiary, until it closed.

That mailbox could be down at the end of my driveway, Mark. Thanks for the fun and stay out of the cat nip!
Sage & Charlie are smart kittykats! I only just got a little packet of catnip last year. Better late than never. But it looks like a baggie of drugs, and I’m convinced the stuff is a cat drug because I put it on the scratching post and Virgil went ape. My cat doesn’t really “do” playtime or fun, and yet he was all over this stuff, rolling around, loosing his mind. How do you use yours for your two feline partners in crime?
Love the pics, especially that mug! Thanks for the giggles. Hope you have a great weekend, Mark!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the pics! We normally use the cat nip sparingly, as Charlie goes crazy and Sage just rolls around in it. Brings out their true personalities. Have a great weekend!
Mark, a fun post! 😀 The first photo is stunning, double wow with the perfect reflection of the breathtaking sunset! Haha! I reckon your cats will never give each other up -just to tidy up and continue. I love your mug – I bet some of your family members deliberately use it to see how they turn out in your novel!😀
Thanks, Annika! You’re right about the cats . . . they may fight like, well, cats, but they are loyal when it comes to keeping a secret. 🙂 I don’t have to worry about my family, because my daughter always reminds me, “Don’t write this in your blog!” Of course, I do. 😉
I love the mug too, Frank. Our road is quite narrow and it’s a rare for the mailbox to be hit. That day, though, there were four mailboxes smashed on the same road. Also highly unusual. LOL!

Thanks, Diana. I’ve now secured the catnip in a safer place, away from thieving paws. 🙂

I loved them all, Mark, but the mailbox and the last one about three pages of instructions did it for me.😂

Love the photos, especially the mug, Mark! My son gave me a necklace that has a similar saying on it. 🙂 Thanks for the smiles!

Those were awesome, Mark! Those cats need to learn to be neater so you don’t find out. 😉

These are great, Mark. As for instructions, it’s rare I ever read them. Maybe that’s why some manufacturers add step-by-step photo instructions. 😄

Sometimes I end up MORE confused after I’ve read the instructions. 🙂 Thanks for visiting today, Gwen.

I like that mug. The snowplow drivers sometimes can’t see all the stuff near the road. They may not be able to see the road clearly.
