It’s been a warm Fall so far here, and most folks are taking advantage of
the weather while it lasts. The white stuff will be flying before we know it.
We just celebrated Thanksgiving, here in Canada, and for us that meant three
family gatherings. Phew! There was plenty of driving, but it was great to sit
and chew the fat; or I guess turkey and ham would be closer to the truth.
I hope you’re all having a great weekend. I hope you enjoy this round of snapshots
and slapstick witticisms.

Born and raised on a farm near Brockville, Ontario, Mark Bierman's childhood consisted of chores, riding horses, snowmobile races across open fields, fishing trips to a local lake, and many other outdoor adventures. He was also an avid reader of both fiction and non.
Transitioning towards adulthood also meant moving from the farm and into large urban areas that introduced this country boy to life in the big cities.
After a short stint as a private investigator, he moved into the role of Correctional Officer, working at both Millhaven Institution and Kingston Penitentiary, until it closed.

Great selection of photos that make me smile, Mark! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Sometimes it’s hard to imagine the weather difference. When I pack to visit my daughter in Portland, Oregon, I always under-pack because it’s warm in Southern California.
I got a chuckle from the Praying Mantis quote 🙂
Are you under a danger rating from lack of rain, as well? We haven’t had more than a drop or two since early July.
Happy late Thanksgiving!
Great humor here Mark, especially the last one 😉

I love anything to do with raccoons— all me crazy. But I’d rather have them in my yard than skunks! Happy thanksgiving—we had lots of turkey too😊

I agree with you . . . much rather deal with the racoons. Happy belated Thanksgiving to you, as well.

Racoons are cute! They look like rascally bandits, with their masks and grabby hands.

I agree, Wendi. They should make racoon ornaments. It’s discrimination, really. 🙂
