We’ve reached the mid-week point and for many of us it’s been a hot one. Tomorrow, Canada celebrates its birthday and I know my friends to the south will be celebrating this Sunday. Today, I bring you a few more photos. I’ve been feeling a bit more philosophical, lately, so not as many ‘smile’ captions. Next time. 🙂
Born and raised on a farm near Brockville, Ontario, Mark Bierman's childhood consisted of chores, riding horses, snowmobile races across open fields, fishing trips to a local lake, and many other outdoor adventures. He was also an avid reader of both fiction and non.
Transitioning towards adulthood also meant moving from the farm and into large urban areas that introduced this country boy to life in the big cities.
After a short stint as a private investigator, he moved into the role of Correctional Officer, working at both Millhaven Institution and Kingston Penitentiary, until it closed.

A couple of years ago, a friend said to me she believed in blooming where she was planted, and so I’ve been nurturing that idea.
Great quotes, Mark. Yes, more philosophical. Hot, hot, hot here 42 to 43 degrees. A mixed bag of Canada right now……it has always been. I will heed your “…ever mindful of the ground upon which you stand.”
These are all good, Mark, but I really loved your answer to the poor guys looking for a restaurant, LOL. Also, the one about the junction is fantastic.
Loved the one about the guys searching for a restaurant, and a good idea to send them to an electronics store! Hehehehe…and a very happy birthday to Canada! A most beautiful country!
Cheers Mark and all the best,
FBC.

Nice thoughts Mark. Neutral reasoning? Not for me… I ride on the wings of emotions. 😊

Yes, but for some of us, it is necessary to carry on at times. 🙂

I often forget as well. I think we just have to unlearn the “what’s next,” mentality. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day, Maura.
