Photos with Captions, To Make You Smile and Think

It’s hard to believe that we’ve arrived at March 3, already. Seems like a blink since we were in our homes, ringing in 2021, COVID style. As vaccinations roll out and the most vulnerable are innoculated, we cling to the hope of showing this pandemic the back door.

While you wait, here’s a few photos and captions that I hope will take your mind off things. Enjoy!

I’m hiring them to build our addition. It’s going to cost large, in worms and dryer lint, but so worth it!

There’s nothing wrong with the occassional ‘Dad Joke’. 🙂

Born and raised on a farm near Brockville, Ontario, Mark Bierman's childhood consisted of chores, riding horses, snowmobile races across open fields, fishing trips to a local lake, and many other outdoor adventures. He was also an avid reader of both fiction and non. Transitioning towards adulthood also meant moving from the farm and into large urban areas that introduced this country boy to life in the big cities. Mark, a post that has me smiling and I love the photos and words – phew, glad the robin home is safe and as for the shoes. what can I say?! 😀 When possible you’ve got to frame your daughter’s painting, wonderfully imaginative and vibrant. One gifted young lady and it will be a joy for you to see her artwork develop over the years. Is it one of her favourite topics?

    1. Thank you, Annika. I’m glad this post brought a smile to your face. Yes, I agree on the painting. She loves art and has been taking art classes at a local art gallery. This painting, I believe, was based on the style of Klimt. Have a great weekend. 🙂

  13. It amazes me how tiny birds can make it through such harsh winters. If they can, perhaps we can, too. Whenever we winter in Romania I give them our leftover crumbs. 🙂

    I enjoyed the dual meaning of ‘proper footwear’. Well, yes, Dad, to a young girl it makes all the difference 🙂

    Your daughter is so talented! She produced such a detailed and meticulous artwork. I love how the trunk of the tree show in different colors than its branches, and it holds more detail in its geometrical shapes. There are hearts for leaves – it could be her love of nature or her love for her family, and for life. I see tulips and roses on the ground. I love tulips 🙂

    Had she used silver foil too? Some triangles in the background look like they catch the light. I love the gold shades too – it remind me of a Klimt 🙂

    Is it wax crayons with paint? You should frame it 🙂 Big congrats!!

    1. Thanks Pat! Yes, nature amazes me too. The sheer resilience of these animals is impressive. I love the area we live in, because of nature. The foot wear in that photo is that of my artist daughter. She likes sequins, and snakes. 🙂 Quite a contrast. She is taking art classes and yes, the painting is based on the same style of Klimt. They have been learning different art forms and he was the latest. 🙂
